The patient count as a result of E. coli O157:H7 foodborne infection in St. Louis County is currently under investigation by federal, state and local authorities. As of November 19th, there were 94 cases among students, teachers and supporters of Rockwood Summit High School.
At issue is an off-campus event catered by Andre’s Banquets and Catering currently cooperating with St. Louis County health department. At the present time, salads have been implicated in the outbreak but the results of assay of food samples from the implicated kitchen have not been been released.
