A fire early Saturday morning destroyed a house holding a flock of 165,000 laying hens at the Tonopah, AZ. complex owned by Hickman’s Family Farm.

Three fire companies responded but were unable to save the building but prevented spread to adjoining houses. Fortunately no injuries to first responders or staff were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
