Casey’s General Stores, Inc. has announced the purchase of Fikes Wholesale, Inc., the holding company for CEFCO Convenience Stores in an all-cash transaction valued at $1.2 billion.  The acquisition will extend the geographic spread of Casey’s General Stores to Texas, Alabama, Florida and Mississippi. The acquisition of 200 retail stores will bring the Casey’s total to 2,900 locations. Casey’s intends to expand and remodel acquired CEFCO stores and install kitchens to complement fuel and off-the-shelf sales.

Darren Rebelez, President and CEO of Casey’s, stated, “This acquisition will allow our company to accelerate unit growth with high quality assets along with our recent 22 store acquisitions in northern Texas to provide an expanded presence in the state and allow us to continue in the region.”
