The series of severe storms and tornados commencing April 26^th in Iowa created hardship for a number of residents.  Accordingly, the USDA Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (D-SNAP) benefits will be extended to qualified households.

Secretary Vilsack previously a Governor of Iowa stated, “USDA is dedicated to providing emergency assistance to Iowa residents.  It is a top priority to assist Iowan’s in getting back on their feet and we will work hard to make sure USDA nutrition assistance programs are accessible to those in need.”
