Two defendants facing felony counts of conspiracy and misdemeanor trespassing had their charges reduced by Judge Lynnette Brown in the Sonoma County California Superior Court.

One of the defendants had the four felony counts consolidated and the felony counts for the second defendant were dismissed.

The charges arose from a June 2023 incursion by Direct Action Everywhere (DxE) at Petaluma Poultry in Sonoma County.

It is difficult to counter what may be regarded as agroterrorism by animal rights zealots if courts downgrade or dismiss charges brought by prosecutors.
