The USAPEEC has announced a $9 million grant under the Federal Regional Agricultural Promotion Program (RAPP) for 2024. The grant will assist the Council to market poultry and egg products. The entire promotional program among diverse agricultural products and commodities will amount to $300 million.
The RAPP program was created in 2023 with funding from the Commodity Credit Corporation.
In announcing the funding to commodity associations, Secretary of Agriculture, Tom Vilsack, stated, “By enabling U.S. exporters to expand their footprint in diverse and dynamic new markets, RAPP will help them to become more competitive and resilient in a volatile global trading environment.”
Greg Tyler, USAPEEC President and CEO, expressed the gratitude of the Council to the federal government for support, stating, “The positive impact of sustained investment in export promotion is profound, benefitting consumers, businesses and economies globally as well as our own U.S. agricultural economy.”
