Meggson, located in Ede, the Netherlands is a specialist manufacturer of egg handling equipment including depalletizers and stackers to reduce labor requirements in packing plants.

The company was established in 1997 and operated previously as Cobot Automation.  In 2021, Meggson established a strategic alliance with Moba to supply equipment for turnkey operations and retrofits.  Based on close cooperation with customers, Meggson development engineers have created a line of labor-saving installations to handle bulk-delivered eggs at the input of off-line packing plants. 

Calculations using U.S wage and benefit rates and incorporating fixed capital costs including interests and depreciation provide an acceptable net present value on the initial capital investment and payback periods of approximately two years depending on throughput and plant operation

• The Meggbot DP180 range can de-stack at the rate of 180 cph transferring from palletized trays to achieve faster in-feed to graders. The DP250 model has a capacity of 250 cph.

Meggson manufactures palletizers to expedite rate of assembly of pallets and to reduce manual labor that is becoming progressively more expensive.

• The Meggline TP100 compact palletizer can handle plastic or pulp trays at up to 100 cph with constant automatic scanning.  The larger Meggline TP150 can palletize at a rate of 150 cph.

Features common to all Meggson installations, include durability with fabrication using stainless steel, built-in worker safety with integrated laser-light barriers and operation using touch screen controls.  Some installations are designed to limit floor area for initial installations or retrofits.
