The chain is testing robots to serve guests given labor shortages in many areas of operation. The chain, obviously, will evaluate customer response to the innovation that will represent a capital investment that may not show a return even with high wage rates. An important question is whether robot delivery of meals will be regarded as a curiosity by customers and whether the concept is consistent with the Chick-fil-A® culture of personal service.
