The annual Easter Egg-roll was held on April 18th after a two-year suspension due to COVID restrictions. President Joseph Biden and First Lady, Dr. Jill Biden hosted a gathering of approximately 30,000 to the event organized by the White House Staff, the National Park Service and the American Egg Board. The industry donated 100,000 eggs and sponsored activities included a hunt for colored eggs, egg-and-spoon races and other traditional entertainment and promotional activities. Remaining eggs were donated to a Maryland food bank.

The American Egg Board presented the First Lady’s Commemorative Egg to Dr. Biden on behalf of U.S. egg farmers.  The Easter Egg Roll received favorable publicity as one of the few non-partisan events on the Washington, DC. calendar.
