Eggland’s Best Selects “America’s Best Egg Recipe”


Results of a national competition to choose the best recipe containing eggs was awarded to World's Fair Lemon Meringue Ice Cream Cones submitted by grand prize winner Kellie W.


When advised of the selection she stated, “I’m beyond excited to have been chosen as the Grand Prize winner.”  She added, “The rich golden yolks in Eggland’s Best eggs give a beautiful color in the ice cream in my World’s Fair Lemon Meringue Ice Cream Cones.”  As a resident of St. Louis, the dish submitted by Kellie was inspired by the 1904 World’s Fair which introduced ice cream cones.


In commenting on the competition, Charlie Lanktree, president and CEO of Eggland’s Best stated, “This contest have shown  yet again the many unique creative ways our fans across the country use Eggland’s Best eggs to enhance the taste, freshness and nutrition of their recipes.”
