Greg Finchum, currently Executive Vice President of Retail Operations, has been promoted to President of Food Lion, succeeding Meg Ham who will retire after 35 years with Ahold Delhaize. Finchum will assume his new position in May 2025. Finchum has occupied positions of responsibility within Food Lion over a 21-year career including Vice President of Strategy and Business Planning, Retail Services and Director of Retail Labor and Standard Practices.

Food Lion is the largest component of the Ahold Delhaize portfolio in the U.S. with 1,100 stores in ten southeastern and mid-Atlantic states. Ahold Delhaize banners include Giant Food, Stop & Shop with a total of 2,045 stores mainly clustered on the East Coast.
