October 11th has been designated as World Egg Day as an opportunity to promote egg consumption. The event organized by the International Egg Commission provides a platform for publicity promoting the health benefits and nutritional quality of eggs.
The American Egg Board along with other national organizations will intensify efforts to extend their messages to consumers emphasize nutritional qualities, versatility in menu preparation and convenience.
This said it would be interesting to quantify the actual impact on demand through stimulating consumption to generate quantitative benefits for producers.
