McDonald's Corporation has announced that the “temporary” $5 Meal Deal will continue through December.  This decision was prompted by competition from other QSR chains introducing similar promotions.

The effect of the McDonald’s initiative will be apparent in successive quarterly reports with specific focus on both traffic and ticket that frequently operate divergently.
